Egalitarian follower and lover of the Risen Lord. FORCE is never the answer. Life is too precious to FORCE anyone to follow your or my religious beliefs or ways. Choice IS God's Way. We are all loved as children. Choose wisely. Forgive often.

Healthcare is a basic human right.

Food is basic human right.

Education, housing, clean air & water are human rights.

Using healthcare and food as leverage should be grounds for removal from office.

SNAP, Medicaid and the ACA are worth fighting for.

People will die without them.

Nat King Cole stops and poses with a little fan.

It was Gladys Knight at the age of seven in 1951.

Black Media History shared the photo.

Thank you, Nancy for the inspiring words in your article today in The Atlantic. And for your lifelong service from being key to passing ACA, the first female Speaker of the House, fighting for minimum wage, and much more.

New from FCNL's @bridgetmoixfcnl.bsky.social:

"Though the future for our country may be uncertain, the resilience of our communities sustains my faith that the people of this country are standing up for the world we seek."

📣 "It’s time for Congress to do the same."
Where is the courage of conscience in Congress?
(RNS) — Over 90% of Congress identifies as Christian, a faith tradition that teaches us to love our neighbors, care for the poor, help those in need, welcome the stranger and pursue peace.

More people have died in ICE custody in last 9 months than in the entire prior 4 years.

We hear of a few, but most barely make the news.

Cases like Randall Alberto Gamboa Esquivel.

He was in perfect health when ICE detained him.

He disappeared in June & by August was in a vegetative state.

Excessive force. PERIOD!

They called them “violent mobs,” but the violence came from the guys with badges and body armor.

📌 Keep sharing videos, everyone, because they’re evidence.

Last year after the election, I reflected: "When we fight, we win—but sometimes the fight takes awhile."

Last night, we saw Democratic victories across our nation. I am so proud of these enthusiastic, principled, inspirational leaders who will continue to fight for our nation, ideals, and progress.
