Grateful for the past two years as a researcher with Smithsonian’s #Peru_BMAP, where I’ve been leading an environmental DNA-based fish monitoring project in Peru’s central coast. This included creating & executing field protocols and bioinformatic pipelines for sequence processing and data analysis.

Wonderful! This is something that should be assessed in every country to evaluate the biodiversity value of tourism and to act toward protecting/studying important taxonomic groups.
Our next paper from this year is the first-of-its-kind for Thailand! A multidisciplinary look into the bridge between SCUBA tourism, biodiversity, economics, taxonomy and awareness. Marine biodiversity valuations can guide funding and policy!
