I wanted to explore if we can build something like Claude Cowork in the browser that can work with the user's file system safely running programs against them.

We can get a very long way: aifoc.us/the-browser-...

Feedback and critique appreciated.

A funny thing about being recruited in marketing is usually you've never heard of the company because they have no marketing, which makes you think maybe they could actually use your help.

Them: We need someone to run Marketing!
Me: Yes, you do!

The email standoff will continue.

"I was alive and I waited for this. Right here, right now"

I saw a recent study that the music you listened to from ages 13-17 shaped the music you like for the rest of your life. Happy to include @jesusjonesband.bsky.social's Doubt as a key part of my well-spent adolescence.
So - this album is exactly thirty-five years old!! Happy Birthday, "doubt" - where have all those years gone?

Everyone watching the game: Holy cow, that was some Hail Mary I've never seen that before kind of stuff. What a ridiculous throw that never happens. Magic.

Everyone else: The world is a terrible place and we are doomed.

There was a place called Chubby's Broiler off Tasman in Sunnyvale a mile or so from where Levi's Stadium is now.

Order a double bacon cheeseburger, but instead of stacking the patties, they'd give it to you submarine sandwich style, with the patties next to each other, and bacon strips on top.

@jayjaffe.bsky.social with all kindness and fan friendliness, why do you feel candidates such as Pedroia and David Wright have seen more than a minimum of interest for their HOF chances?

As a neutral observer, I don't feel their careers come close to meeting the standard.

It was nice to see the NFL propaganda about improvements to player health and safety immediately followed by Paramount+ hyping up their UFC coverage showing somebody getting kicked in the face.

Super niche post!

Put Your Bassline with Armin Van Buuren and Ki/Ki clearly samples Lost in Love by Legend B from 1994.

In my misspent (properly) youth, that track was on a loop.

It's remarkable to see Indiana wreck Oregon on the national stage on the arm of Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza.

He's no academic slouch. Mendoza got his Cal degree in three years, and to stay focused, the only social media he allowed himself this year? LinkedIn.

This photo has three people with a combined 40 years at Google, 23 years at Apple and 7 years at Microsoft.

John Vink (left) was head of Mac OS X software for iPod, left to Nest and now owns Empire Armadillo. The food is amazing.

Scott Knaster (right) is Valley legend. Google him.

As a Silicon Valley homeowner, texts and unwanted junk mail from realtors can be pretty silly. Imagine having inbound messages about selling your house in the next 90 days, regularly...

So now I just say yes, if they pay 50% above market. Everybody has their price, I guess. Dazzle me.

Effect, meet cause.

You see... the retail traders have pushed the stock up, which, well... raises its P/E.

So investors are not doing so despite the P/E, but the P/E is because of the investors.
Despite Palantir's high trailing P/E ratio of ~450x, retail traders have poured billions of dollars into the stock, which is up ~3,000% in the past three years (Alex Harring/CNBC)

It is legitimately shocking that a company's $1.6 trillion valuation is based on 5 cars in Austin, Texas and an unlawful marketing scheme.

Tesla can be summarized as illegal marketing and illegal market manipulation to meet milestones for an illegal executive compensation plan. That's it.

That said, if you don't drop a ball, you simply aren't going to win. So you may as well get as many as you can, or someone else will.
If you’re curious how likely it is you win the Powerball, imagine that winning involved dropping a golf ball from a helicopter and having to hit a one sq ft area.

One sq ft in a region the size of Manhattan south of 75th Street.
