A reminder that gas is not a vital industry to Australia.

As Polly Hemming explains, if anything, it costs the Australian economy.

A gas exports tax would also disincentivise gas giants selling offshore. Our analysis shows this would increase Australia’s gas supply and lower prices dramatically.

I love GitHub and I think Microsoft has done a great job after the acquisition.

I think however that they desperately need to take a step back, replace the CEO, and make sure that the next one has some kind of media training.

What Thomas Dohmke wrote is unacceptable.
I didn't expect this kind of gatekeeping from the CEO of GitHub.

What a clown.

Norway taxes their fossil fuel industry and gives their kids free university education.

In Australia, we give more than half of the gas we export away for free, and charge our kids a fortune to go to uni.

If you make $1.1 million, you’d pay an extra $2,000.

Other countries tax their oil and gas industries. Australia subsidies ours.

Our research found while gas prices boomed in 2022, LNG companies made windfall gains of up to $40 billion. PRRT take increased by less than $1 billion.

It's time to fix the tax loopholes that Big Gas exploits. #auspol
