The primary aim must be getting the govt off X. This offers the possibility of a cascade effect taking journalists etc off it. We need to seperate the national debate from the extremism engine.

The sad part about this is that it does not shock anymore. It is clear now that the US and Europe have parted ways in the strategic assessment and aims for Ukraine and Russia.

Many of the scientists that the Trump administration is defunding and persecuting will be working on strategically important technologies and research areas. The UK and other European countries should urgently establish programmes to bring those researchers here.
