Today's @Smerconish poll question: is Trump the most consequential president. Always mystified by Michael's obsessive need to focus on the trivial.

Examples of "the best government that money can buy" are becoming more depressing. Ohio Republican Senator Jon Husted accepted more than $115,000 in campaign contributions from Les Wexner, one of 6 people listed as Epstein's co-conspirators, and then voted against releasing the Epstein files.

Campaign records show Sen. Jon Husted took $116,892 from Les Wexner since 2001, including months before voting to block release of Jeffrey Epstein-related documents.

CNN confirms what MSNBC reported live a few hours ago: DOJ is surveilling Dem lawmakers when they go to the DOJ to search unredacted Epstein files.
CNN: "Another photograph - these are notes AG Bondi brought to the hearing today. This shows a list of Rep. Jayapal's search history. Lawmakers are allowed to go to a DOJ facility to search unredacted files. We learned from this photo that the searches are apparently being tracked & read by the DOJ"

Late last night, the FAA announced a ban on all air travel over El Paso, Texas for the next ten days. No flights in or out until Feb. 20th. They offered no explanation.

This seems really bad. It hasn't happened since 9/11.

Today, @wired.com is publishing dozens of those locations. Many are near schools, medical offices, and places of worship.

Vital work from @leahfeiger.bsky.social that I'm proud to publish.

So, apparently the @washingtonpost.com won't allow customers to cancel their subscriptions. I just spent 30 minutes talking to a customer service rep who asked me twice why I wanted to cancel, to which I responded I don't have to give a reason. She then said I could only cancel thru Google Play. No.

Floored by this story. A man wrote a pollite email to a federal prosecutor objecting to the deportation of an Afghan seeking asylum. DHS responded with an administrative warrant to get the man's info from Google, then visited his home to intimidate him.
