The only surefire way to introduce a mimic into your D&D scene is to say - out loud - in front of your DM - "Wow I sure hope this treasure chest isn't a Mimic!".

I've begun a policy *admittedly dangerous* of simply walking into the stop-signed crosswalks without looking. You can fucking hit me if you want.
I never want to see another human trot across a crosswalk, hurry their stroller/kids/mobility device or rush a senior resident through an intersection or any road. It’s ridiculous, like we’ve been gifted some incredible act of patience and kindness from our auto overlords.

Strange how it's a wild take to say that cars shouldn't be capable of going fast enough in cities for a crash like this to happen.
Yesterday was a busy day for me but at least I wasn’t the foolish person behind the wheel of this car putting their life and the lives of others at risk for “convenience”
