New Valve hardware looks cool. I don't really need another controller, but companies that make sensibly-designed ones, with the analog sticks parallel and below the d-pad, should be supported. F*** the xbox layout.

Since Roman concrete has been rediscovered, I wonder if Brutalism will make a comeback. Any entrepreneurs thinking of starting a house building business that specializes in it? Or maybe not. arstechnica.com/science/2025...

AI is a bubble that's going to cause disaster as more and more industries and nationstates are relying on it as a lazy crutch or shortcut for crucial tasks with low error tolerance.

Still, it's useful for advanced websearching, like remembering the name of an obscure CDROM game I played as a tot.

Almost time to decide whether to use AtlasOS, Tiny11 or GhostSpectre. As worthless and unacceptable as Windows is, I need to keep one machine running it around, since companies like SCUF are douchebags and don't have a linux alternative to icue.

Late night snack. The toncio Spam is a little too sweet. I prefer the gochujang Spam. But still good. Reminder that Spam is Minnesota's thing. Not Hawaii's.

Some people get buckets of booya at the fire station or VFW or church fundraiser. Some get gallons of raw cider to ferment.

My autumn ritual is to smoke cheese to last through the winter.

I've been more actively engaging with autism related topics online since about 2010 when Frontline did The Vaccine War. Funny how I never heard the term "Refrigerator Mother" until just now. I always thought of myself pretty knowledgeable, but apparently I missed an important chuck of history.

That can't be a real name, right?

Arguably the first girl gamer was Ada Lovelace, since she was a notorious gambler and proposed methods of using the Babbage Engines for handicapping race horses. A plot borrowed for the novel The Difference Engine by Sterling and Gibson.

Sabrina Conrad is my biggest influence. I never used Amiga, though. I've kept one Windows 10 machine around, but soon, I'll have to decide whether to continue using it unsupported, give GhostSpectre Windows a try, or finally dump Microsoft crap entirely. But first, I might see how AROS works.

Also, I'm here to follow artists who got dissatisfied with DA and FA, or those whom xcancel is too cumbersome to follow

I've been kicking around the Internet since before MySpace was a thing. Didn't see much point in myspace, and even less point in all the "web2" crap that came after. It's a darn shame the Internet has been reduced to a few consolidated, tightly controlled and monitored platforms.
