LR this is why the Sonic movies have been overall successful, it’s diverged from the games BUT respect has been given towards the material. that alone can make or break a video game adaptation, and why there’s been such a rough history of video game movies in particular.

Y'know, I sat here pondering why my feelings for Witcher's director's insistence that diverging from the books/games is bad when I didn't feel that way about Amazon's Wheel of Time divergences. I think it comes down to reception; if you diverge, someone has to *want what you produced instead*.

i’m REALLY happy with Crossworlds so far!! only downside is how limited the open network test is lol, i wish there was a little more to do in single player, like another Cup for example, but it’s still been so fun

i can’t remember the last time i got this excited and giddy to see something portrayed on screen. throughout the franchise’s history we were told about this meeting or only shown/told specific details, to finally watch it play out in some form made my inner child so happy
