The DA’s inability to prevent that little farce during trial was only one of many fuck-ups. They should have seen it coming. It could have possibly been a interloc appeal. I‘d like to read the trial briefs on the issue. All the things and more should have excluded it.

Yes, and their wealth makes them impervious to meaningful natural consequences. When you can pay off your victims, threaten them with legal action that will bankrupt them, or release your flying monkeys on them to threaten their lives, you can remain above the fray.
