Something that gets lost is that what you highlight in your day to day comms doesn't have to be what you run in paid. A member of Congress should talk about money they brought to the district for specific projects, the TV ads should hit Republicans on cuts to Medicaid that pay for Elon's tax breaks

I know this is extremely vulgar idealism, but I do think we should try to aggressively reassert the norm that lying is bad. Not in a "Four Pinnochios" fact-checking kind of way, but in a way that frames this kind of lying as moral degeneracy that is fundamentally corrosive to the human spirit.

It’s hard to explain to people that republicans think that disabled children subsisting on sub-poverty level benefits need to have a lower standard of living so a billionaire can get another yacht because it sounds too cartoonishly evil.

I don't think the chaos is the point, I think that's mistaking incompetence for savvy because you want to believe your enemies aren't doing politics in a way that you have to describe as "resembling The Three Stooges trying to get through the same door".
The best part of this is the implication that no one might regret their vote. "I won by 65 points, that means I can cut Social Security, fire every federal worker, and put their employer out of business consequence free."

One of the more interesting things about this round of Billionaire tax cuts, is that the Bush Tax cuts were constantly framed as a middle class tax cut, but the GOP kinda gave up on that framing.
