Legacy of Asbestos is exactly that a legacy. One that’s still costing lives. The Tyee has launched a powerful series on the forgotten B.C. town of Cassiar: the town asbestos built, and the cancer it left behind. Amanda Hosgood’s research and storytelling hit hard ,for me, it’s personal.

Until and/or if the #political situation in the #US changes, I am not sure anyone cares what is going on with the #NDP

We may have a virtual two party system in #canada for a while. Even progressives may continue to support #carney and the #liberals

The NDP leadership race could be turning into a nail-biter with no clear winner in sight. But it's unclear if Canadians are tuning in.

Did my annual CT Scan last Thursday night and met with the B.C. Cancer research team this Tuesday to review the findings. Though I am impacted by my asbestos exposure, cancer is NOT one of the findings. No changes!

If this year taught us anything, it's that:

1) Workers keep America going, not billionaires.
2) Corporate profits don't trickle down to workers.
3) Poverty is a policy choice.
4) Health care is a human right.
5) Strikes work.

I hope we act on these lessons in the new year.

We feel nostalgic looking back on the momentum we've built over the last year 🥹. It's been inspiring to see youth across the country mobilize for true, transformative and human rights-centred climate justice.

We have big plans for next year!
