If passed by Congress, the SAVE Act would be the worst voting law in U.S. history. And a new executive order on elections is more a malevolent press release than real policy.
A Pivotal Time for Voting Rights
The SAVE Act and a new executive order represent some of the worst federal voting policies in U.S. history.

When President Biden issued an executive order to expand voter registration, Republicans called it an illegal Washington power grab.

Now, the GOP is lauding President Trump's move to transform election laws by coercing states and bypassing Congress.

Just watched the exchange. Trump and Vance are raising their voices, but Zelensky isn’t. Who’s being disrespectful? From where I’m sitting, it’s #TovarischTrump. And check out the whole 50 minute meeting on C-SPAN. Trump and Vance look even worse.

There is a very particular sort of minority (in this case queer and trans) rage that is absolutely justified in response to the attacks on Sarah McBride. It is the rage that comes from watching the way they attack even the most respectful, normative, and "socially acceptable" of us.
I am finding it quite unbearable to watch Sarah McBride bear the grotesque attack of her colleagues with so much grace. I know it is what we have been taught to expect of trailblazers, but I am increasingly struggling to accept this.
