I hate to say this, and it gives me the chills just to think it, but CECOT is on (and not a short way down) the road to Auschwitz.

They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.

The left is waiting for the leader to step up.

That’s what is missing.

The focal point of a leader for the resistance movement.

An opposition leader.

I will not be listening to Carrie Underwood’s music due to her agreement to appear at Trump’s inauguration.

This replaces my prior reason for not listening to her music: it’s not good

We have a peculiar historical event shaping up where the oligarch billionaire class is about to fleece this country while most of their supporters are working people who are convinced that they are on their side because they hate migrants & trans people.

Could not agree with this more. Do not give in to the malignant normality no matter how many others accept it.
Remember this. We are weaker now. “Trump has groomed us.” Try to hold and speak and advocate what you know is right and true. We’ve already moved so far. Don’t change your standards to accommodate their shameless incompetence & cruelty.

The media is the problem. They helped him get elected and they are covering for him now.

Scarborough & Brezezinski didn’t just normalize Trump, they made a pilgrimage to his cult HQ to bend the knee à la Kevin McCarthy. They were vehemently opposed to Kevin when he did it after Jan 6, but now it’s all good? The hypocrisy is so thick you can slice it. Can’t stomach it.

And imagine how warped a mind would choose Liz Cheney to be the poster woman for this quote.

She was never “denied access to the halls of power”—until she had to choose duty to her country over fealty to a party in the thrall of a single deranged and evil man.

Happy to summarize this for everyone: Donald Trump and his agents are going to kill poor people to slide a lot more money into the pockets of billionaires.

They will do it proudly, with eyes wide open, and without any shame whatsoever, because fundamentally they hate the poor and idolize the rich.

Dems need to stop complaining that other Dems didn't "listen" to low income voters and that's why Trump won.

We've listened. We've made policies that will help them. They chose misinformation and the freedom to indulge their bigotry at the cost of GOP policies that hurt their financial interests.
