It’s the little things: Was listening to Coil’s cover of “Tainted Love” for the first time in many moons. I realized Coil’s version is rewritten more in the past tense, while Soft Cell’s version is present tense. Given Coil covered the song in part in response to the AIDS crisis, that’s impactful.
