Being a chronic illness/pain/fatigue person pretty much takes over your life. I plan everything around how my body & brain will feel. But I still want to enjoy life, so I'm pushing myself to do fun things. Sunday got my lip repierced, went to a gig yday and have another gig today. It's been fun 😊

Ripley (grumpy void) is a grazer and will eat a few bites of food then head off. Since we got his brother Nimrod (tuxedo himbo), who would eat rocks if they had gravy on them, I have had to hide Ripley's food in my bed drawer because he can find it and devour it anywhere else. 1/

Went out to the front garden to plant tulips, replant Fuschia and lavender, and do the last bit of weeding. Neighbours saw me being chill & normal. Then 2 hours later they defo heard me indoors, screaming in utter rage after I bashed my cold hand on the bed while trying to clean up cat puke.

Got up at 5am to go for a bus at 7am to get to my clinic for semi-regular blood test before it closes at 11am. Was almost ready to go when eyes got irritated, had to take off makeup, eyes got too sore, now I'm back in jammies and about to play Dragon Age Origins until I need more sleep.

Today I was still super fatigued (been exhausted for the past two weeks) but I listened to death metal, drank an energy drink and managed to actually work on an art piece without feeling stuck. AND did pain physio. Anyway, posting here so Future Me sees this when she feels bad and knows we STRONK 💪🏻

My partner and I often talk about wishing we had the power of Dr. Manhattan to split off into multiples of ourselves while still being completely aware of/focused on whatever we were doing. His reason is for efficiency in doing mandatory stuff (work) and enjoying hobbies with no time wasted.

Woke up on the wrong side of the bed, bubbling over with rage because my fat cat kept doing parkour on my torso and the pain set off my chronic lung pain, and now I'm back in bed looking at other people's art wondering how much more work I could do if my body hadn't been in pain the past 13 years.

A pair of pasty white Irish legs wearing oxblood (burgundy) dr martens boots. The left leg is slightly bigger than the right leg due to the extensive damage from a Deep Vein Thrombosis that I had when I was 23. The clot is gone but the leg will still swell up slightly, particularly on days that I have to stand or walk a lot, and on high pain days. It makes it difficult to buy boots and socks that are tight fits. Thankfully, these boots fit regardless! A VERY pixilated photo of me in my second-last year of secondary/high school. We were supposed to wear bland black shoes but I fought to wear my docs, just as I fought to keep my bright red comic-book hair, heavy eyeliner and slightly augmented uniform (shirt unbuttoned, skirt too high, just your typical rebel girl hoe) A plump (okay he's a CHONK) black and white cat sits in a brown cardboard shoebox. His fat is spilling over the side of the box and he looks very happy with himself. He was purring like an engine when this photo was taken.

Very ill with flu, possibly Covid (have to wait til tomorrow to get a test) and torn between getting a proper night's rest or staying up late and enjoying the peaceful quiet that only exists at night. I feel like a boiled shite tho, so it'll probably be rest that wins.

Depression is at an all time high. I cried over a plant yesterday. I'm taking care of myself and being taken care of too. Just have to get through it.
