Something that’s very clear is that Trump is old and checked out. He wants to play the role of president but has zero interest in doing the job and is happy to outsource the real work to Musk, Vought and a crew of feral zealots.

Is it too much to ask to want the government to stop the president from doing the illegal stuff?

Word of the Day is ‘uhtcearu’ [ucht-kay-aru, with the 'ch' as in the Scottish ‘loch']:

Old English for ‘the sorrow before dawn', when you lie awake in the darkness and worries crowd your mind.

I'm heading out on a research trip to Iowa this spring, and I couldn't be more excited! I've been researching this area and this family for quite some time, but being from Texas, have never visited. Until now! I am going to have so much fun planning this trip! #genealogy #familyhistory

On this date in 1863, John Andrew Hafer requested a license to marry my third great-grandmother, Saraphina Kerchner, and it was granted. They were married in Washington County, Iowa. #genealogy #ancestry #familyhistory

I love that this #SixGeneration chart gives us a different representation of our pedigree! With each color representing a different place of birth, it's so interesting to see all of that ancestral migration to Texas happen. #genealogy

#genealogy tip — I’ve learned many times over that it pays to have a second look at documents. Sometimes new records shed new light on records looked at previously.

So, I visited Honey Creek Cemetery near Hico, Texas, yesterday to look for the grave of my 3rd great-grandmother. When I arrived at the cemetery, I saw that many of the graves simply had a rock or stone at the head and foot. There was no room for words, no other identifying markers.

Goodreads is owned by Amazon & there is an AMAZING alternative‼️

The StoryGraph is a black women-owned competitor to GoodReads with better UI in my opinion.
When you sign up you can even transfer your data from Goodreads to StoryGraph!

PSA: If you're a new Bluesky user - your default feed is "Discover." It tries to guess what you like, but since it doesn't know you well yet - it can display what seems like random nonsense. You can remove it, and add any other feed to your liking from the "Feeds" options in the menu on the left.
