Sixty-two years ago today, November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. He was shot while riding in an open-top car and died later at Parkland Hospital. The event, which occurred at 12:30 p.m. CST, was a moment of national tragedy.

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.
