a brag: we’ve been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for almost ten years. while we are adults we are both still fully feral. BUT. my manfriend made us a bed platform! it is gorgeous & looks like fancy Scandinavian design but he made it with random things. i love it. 🤍

i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?
