One of the most pernicious lies/libel spread since Oct 7 is that condemnation of civilian deaths in Gaza amounted to silence on sexual violence under investigation in Israel/elsewhere. Such gaslighting will not deter those who actually work in this field. Consider donating to RCC services this Xmas.
This is what the statements says on evidence for sexual violence.
“Gaza now resembles 'Mad Max movie', says Irish surgeon” - the shame of this being allowed to happen, some serious soul searching needed amongst those who continue to actively deny this with silence including in universities www.rte.ie/news/2025/11...

A Connolly landslide! So interesting that many of the minority arguing against Connolly have either actively denied or not commented in public on the genocide/Israeli war crimes in Gaza which is clearly out of step with Irish public sentiment and position of government parties

The time to call out, stop + analyse the annihilation of thousands of people as the likely reaction to a heinous atrocity, enmeshed in 70 years of violent oppression, was 7th October 2023 - to engage in genocide denial but now pose as an expert with a different view is extraordinarily opportunistic

An independent United Nations commission said that Israel was committing genocide in Gaza.

The commission found indications of intentions to destroy, in whole or in part, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as a group — which it said amount to genocide.
U.N. commission finds that Israel committed genocide in Gaza
Israel rejected the conclusions, which echo those of a growing group of governments and human rights organizations.

The scale of the evidence and the consensus in the scholarship is as inconvertible as it is horrifying. At the very least, our colleagues in Palestine, who continue to teach and write in the midst of a genocide, deserve that we speak the truth.
245 journalists killed by Israel in 22 months including 5 today in Nasser Hospital. Unprecedented murder of members of the press + targeting of areas where there is disproportionate risk to civilians. Still stand over the statement you disagree there is a genocide + tarnishing of those who named it?
