it's frustrating to me when people say they're making art inspired by ghibli or lynch or whomever. i understand the marketing utility but sometimes it feels like we get these shallow aesthetic takes on these materials because people aren't drawing from their firsthand experiences, just other media

and the difference between my hate, and their hate, is that all i want is for them to not have the power to hurt anybody else. i don't want them to suffer. i don't care that they exist. i just don't want them to ruin everybody ELSE'S lives. but yeah no it's still hate, i can't deny that lmao
