I reread Stephen King’s ‘The Shining’ and rewatched Kubrick’s film. The main thing that unites both is how embarrassingly fast into the job Jack Torrance tries to kill his family. 2 months out of a 7 month stint in the book and 5 weeks in the movie.

2nd #coastcard , used Holbien acryla-gouache this time, noodled the hell out of it. I gotta pare down and simplify, maybe set a timer, because no way I can keep up this level of detail without going insane.
