Hi, I'm a paleoartist who also occasionally dabbles in general creature #art, mostly focused on synapsids of all sorts (mammals and our evolutionary line).
I mostly do #3d and #digitalart.

It's in profile view, facing left, with the head angled up, and jaws wide open, showing off its sabre-like teeth, superficially resembling those of the sabre toothed cats. The lower jaw has a flange extending from the chin, matching the sabers in length. The roots of the canines extend deep into the skull, above and beyond the orbits, creating a visible elongated bump on the skull, and giving it a somewhat domed appearance. The top of the head is covered by thick, keratinized skin. There's an upsidedown crescent moon behind the animal, the background is dark navy blue, and there are five four pointed stars scattered randomly throughout it. 3d render of a dragon, shown mostly from the side, facing right. Only the head and neck are shown, and it's looking down at something out of the frame. It's a mammalian looking dragon, covered with pangolin-like scutes, with short off-white fur on the underside of the neck and lower jaw. It has long pointed ears, and antlers resembling those of the extinct Pleistocene giant deer megaloceros giganteus (somewhat moose-like). It also had saberteeth and porcupine like quills on its cheeks and around the eyes. There's a puff of smoke coming out of its nostrils. The scene is dark, and lit up by an orange glow ( like from a torch or a campfire) coming from the direction the dragon is looking towards. Digital portrait of the late Permian gorgonopsid inostrancevia alexandri, shown from the side, facing left, and looking up. There are out of focus branches behind the animal and a tiny insect perched on top of it's snout. The head is long, about twice as long as it's deep. The lower jaw scoops down at the front, to accommodate long sabre-like canines ( they're not visible, as the animal has its mouth closed). This produces a profile of the mandible where it's deepest in front, shallowest in the middle, and deepens again at the back, thanks to jaw muscles.. the neck is muscular. The animal doesn't have any fur nor scales, but the skin on top of the head, cheeks and the top of the neck is thicker, and bumpy. 3d render of the Jurassic synapsid Castorocauda lutrasimilis swimming with a fish in its mouth. It's shown mostly from the side facing left, and angled down diagonally with the tip of the tail much higher than the head. It looks like a long snouted otter with a beaver tail. Its feet are webbed. It's covered with fur, apart from the tail, but has no visible ears. There are some bubbles above and rising alongside the animal. The background is covered by water plants, with some algae covered rocks and logs on the bottom of the lake/river it's the animal is swimming in. The water is a bit murky and very green.

They are docile while undisturbed using their tongue to sense their surrondings, when a prey is sensed they will postion themselves towards them. The way they dispatch their prey is using their large maw of fangs, but even afterthe prey has been kill they go the extra mile and use the venom in their alveoli glands which releases through the tube like fangs at the front of the mouth. Alot of their adult life they live around the coloums growing their natural camo while young the live in the undergrowth and fallen flora hiding from predators and even others of their own kind. Their hide is quite looked for as it is very resistant to fire, being used in armors, and weaponry.
