we really should stop focusing on decentralizing/self-hosted stupid bullshit that doesn't need it (web-apps that could be offline software) / doesn't work decentralized (social media) and start focusing on decentralizing/self-hosted points of communication (telegram, discord, VRC)

- private-size shaming
- weight shaming
- dress/appearance shaming
your attack almost never lands on those you intend (who don't care), just bystander friends who think that's what you think of them

modern problems (my balls in vrc keep inverting into my body any time i am falling down) require modern solutions (toggling polar limiting on ball dynamics and setting pitch/yaw to 90)

you can tell youtube is desparate to force people to let this be enabled now that they made it so you can't turn it off until it's processed, in the hopes that you forget it now that it takes forever for videos to both upload & now process.

probably should have complained about how discord got too pervasive and load-bearing for many online communities. for a company whose security backup tokens can be relatively easily stolen. and also saved the ID's of people who uploaded them for age verification
