From now on, whenever you say “MAHA” you *must* say it like Matt Berry would. “maHAAAAAA!”

What I learned today is that the @nytopinion.nytimes.com doesn’t believe in young people of color in leadership. Time and time again people tout “seniority” and “experience”. 75 years ago, there were no women of color elected in NY. Where is “seniority” or “experience” to come from for us?

As a librarian, I don’t want to take classes on how to use AI at work. I just want public printers that work properly.

Please don’t rank Cuomo so I don’t have to shudder every time I hear a mayor
*who moved me by touching my lower back without asking* give a stupid press conference.

Families belong together.

A 12-year-old alone on a sidewalk after an ICE raid. A father detained thousands of miles away as his child is born. A young makeup artist whose family hasn't heard from him in months.

This is not "family values."

We aren’t your heroes, we’re your canaries. Pay attention.
If watching library workers resist leads you to expect us to save you, you're taking away the wrong message.

You should be viewing this as a clear indicator that YOU can and should stand up and push back, too.

We need help, not acclaim.

I do not give a shit if a fellow autistic person can pay taxes, go to the bathroom alone, or have a job. It does not matter, that are human beings who deserve care and their worth is not connected to what they can produce.

Oh FFS, looks like DOGE forgot to send us our cancellation notice for our IMLS grant and just went ahead with close out instructions. Whoever said fascists were competent was very very wrong.

There is a thing I need, that would be really easy to drop by Target to get, and I’m going to go out of my way to go elsewhere. Just in case we forgot that they suck.

ALA is deeply concerned by reports that IMLS is sending notices to libraries claiming to cancel grants that are required by law. This harmful action will disrupt libraries' ability to serve their communities.

I think the cognitive dissonance is going to make me insane. EITHER trans people are too strong to compete with cis women in sports OR they aren’t strong enough to be useful in the military. Make up your damn minds. Or just mind your business, that works too.

If and when I go back to fencing, I refuse to participate in (pay for) any tournaments or classes that restrict trans women from competing in women’s categories. It’s where they belong, with the rest of the women, don’t like it? Get bent.
