Her desperation to be president and the depths she will sink to in order to achieve it tells me she is in this for personal gain, not the benefit of the Venezuelan people. Her recent actions are disqualifying.

16 hours in, my guess this was all intended basically as a coup to put VP Delcy Rodriguez in power (likely without her knowledge but 🤷).

*If* this was just a coup intended to put Delcy in power, it may functionally be pretext for the U.S. to "switch sides" from the Venezuelan people (represented by exiled opposition leaders) to the Venezuelan dictatorship (now represented by Rodriguez).

I’m with you the criticism didn’t really land. For many of us who care about reducing factory-farm cruelty, alternative production methods would actually be a step forward. And as you said, true 3D-printed meat isn’t even commercially viable yet, so the claim doesn’t reflect reality.

Same. I didn’t quite understand that “insult” of their product. For those of us who are horrified by the cruelty of factory farms, 3D printing meat would be a selling point! Not that they actually do it, it’s still super expensive.

I’ve been wondering if states will do this if the Fed withholds funds and government services. Like, if they eliminate FEMA and disaster recovery assistance, why should we continue paying the same amount of taxes?
