The minimum would be daily consultant rounds with an evening paper round, and easy around-the-clock availability.

It is utterly, absolutely, bafflingly extraordinary to me, as a doctor who has worked in adult ICUs, that a NICU with fragile babies would have a consultant round only twice a week. I would expect, honestly, twice-daily consultant rounds.
