I’ve got a podcast! When I watched the nuclear war film Threads at the age of 11 it terrified me and changed my life forever.

I started the pod to speak to other people whose lives have been changed by Threads, from cast and crew members, to extras, broadcasters, authors and super fans. Out now!
In my student days I was involved in the campaign to free Winston Silcott. It was a lonely one at times but having Jesse Jackson on our side was such a boost and undoubtedly helped us to victory. Rest in power. ✊🏿

I thought some weird things as a kid:

People only got diarrhoea in the summer because the sun melted their crap. (My brother told me that.)

God was called Peter. (I misheard ‘thanks be to God’ in church.)

Who said comforting dreams have to be depressing?
I love, love Martin O’Neill. I always will do. I blame him for nothing.

But ‘Bring back O’Neill’ was like ‘get Brexit’ done’ - a comforting dream lots of people clung to but which could never magically disappear so many structural problems.

Fuck the board.

When Jeremy Corbyn lost the 2019 election after four years of smears, his sons said: ‘To assume that the ideologies he stands for are now outdated is so wrong. In the coming years we will see that they are more important than ever.’

Getting up at 3am for the 4:30am arati at the temple is quite the lark. It’s catching up on me now but it’s so worth it. 🙌🏼

I’m not overly discerning with coffee. I generally see it all as much of a muchness. But Tim Hortons coffee is an ATROCITY.

Keir Starmer says he didn’t think Peter Mandelson was lying to him.

He was also staggered to discover that dogs have tails and he’d absolutely no idea Monday was followed by Tuesday.
