Britbox (!) just tried to upsell me a new access level, charging more for what used to come with the base subscription. Do these content providers not recognize how quickly they are alienating their customer base? I have already ended 4 services & will likely dump more. New business model pending?

The cynics think today's attack on Venezuela is staged and transactional. Maduro is allied with Putin, but in 2019 Putin offered Trump a swap: Russia cedes Venezuela and gets Ukraine. (See Fiona Hill's testimony in Trump's first impeachment trial, h/t @davetroy.com). Even Maduro may be in on it. 2/

Still seething over the PBS interview with the Kennedy Ctr’s new COO. Guy is outraged no one appreciates that Truwp has had his friends give money to glitz up the place, that UNIONS make it so hard for the arts to turn a profit. Funny how business, law, academia have caved, but artists stand firm.

Still seething over the PBS interview with the Kennedy Ctr’s new COO. Guy is outraged no one appreciates that Truwp has had his friends give money to glitz up the place, that UNIONS make it so hard for the arts to turn a profit. Funny how business, law, academia have caved, but artists stand firm.
It is the new year, & our adult, working but disabled daughter is inundated with nasty letters saying her healthcare, SNAP, & transport benefits are ending as of some imminent date. No suggestion of why or what to do about it. She has highly educated family nearby to spend hours on hold (see more)

Are seniors really so easy to scare with hate politics? Whose beloved children & grandchildren show us LGBTQ? Who spends more time in healthcare facilities, where everyone from the heart surgeon to the porter is an immigrant? Who remembers the diseases we want our grandkids vaccinated to prevent?
