I enjoy BlueSky, it’s nice, but it just doesn’t have the vibrancy I was looking for. It’s becoming another doomscroll for me, and at the moment it’s part of the constellation not helping me get on with more pressing things.

As such I will be deactivating my account for the time being. Farewell!

Remember that every single “efficiency” gain, fired worker, and so called tariff here for one thing and one thing only.

It’s not for better public services, healthcare, infrastructure, middle classe prosperity, or any of this woke nonsense.

It’s purely to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy.

This is the economic equivalent of telling people to drink bleach for COVID.

Investors are still behaving as if it couldn't possibly be so dumb, but consider this: people who parrot that tariffs are (and I quote) a "tax cut", might just be economically illiterate.

Absolute insanity.

These people belong in jail - not that poor woman who already had to go through the excruciating pain of a miscarriage.

Going after vandals and violence is one thing (which I personally support, this kind of violence is wrong and illegal - it isn’t the way).

What he’s talking about here is much broader than this, and using a false narrative that his opponents = “fraudsters”

I'm no big fan of manifestos, most are exercises in empty corporate speech meant to make the writer feel like a pro.

But this isn't any manifesto, it's Miyazaki's project plan for Totoro, written in 1986.

Enjoy.

I don’t think “marketing tweeter” (the good and the bad) has found its place now that Twitter is gone.

It seems most have simply moved to LinkedIn (which isn’t the same), while some here, like me, are struggling to stay on topic with everything going on.

Remember that the guys texting state secrets to journalists are the very same people lamenting we need competent white people running things.

None of this has got to do with meritocracy.

That’s a new one- email was in my inbox by the time I landed.

It means they flagged that something wasn’t working, sent it to a customer response system, and activated the response.

Pretty neat, and the kind of service that makes sense in 2025.

Fascinating dive into what drove the last election, looking at the loss of immigrants, non voters and young voters (all demos that are typically favorable to democrats) - all tilted substantially to Trump.

Well worth a watch.

Starlink is already up and running and literally anyone can sign up. It needs no government funding.

Unless they mean giving money to pay for the service.

But free markets should take care of that according to the libertarian orthodoxy.

So what gives, I wonder?
