Seeing these comments about the measles outbreak in Texas and people dying—I’ve witnessed this firsthand. Several people I know who might fit the “granola-eating hippie” description have completely gone off the deep end into conspiracy theories, and in some cases, even supporting Trump and RFK.

My FIL said he can’t wait for Trump to be back in office so he can get better tax returns because Biden’s were no good. I had to tell him we’ve actually been under Trump’s tax laws since 2018 (they expire in 2025). It’s wild how many working-class people think he’s looking out for them.

Had a call with a Canadian colleague this morning. She was shocked by Trump’s impact on the U.S. and Canada, calling ICE actions “scary.” Then she criticized Trudeau and said it’s time for Canada to shift right and go with Poilievre. 🤷♂️ What am I missing here?
