This is my last and longest of three aurora threads, for the final substorm I saw from Columbus Ohio USA. It was by far the most brilliant and the strongest (at one point visible *south* of us)! It started ~11:30PM local time and lasted a full half-hour. Just unbelievably stunning!

Finished today, and I didn’t really like it. To be frank, it needed to be shortened by at least 60 pages. Just when you think he’s wrapping up a chapter, there’s more, and more. Have never seen the movie version but I’m sure they cut out the chaff.
Anyway, on to the next book!

Watched Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Frankenstein’ tonight. It’s a good movie. Mia Goth gives a lifeless “performance” as Elizabeth and the monster, at times, looks like he’s about to do the Time Warp again. Everything else is good. 😕

8 Nov 75 Big pull out from booze. Talked to Liza on phone. Very sweet. Doctors all over me taking blood tests, intravenous feeding etc. I look terrible and feel diabolical...Really must now never drink again except possibly a glass of wine with dinner.

#LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched Seriously, BOASP is really good, and quite mysterious. TMAAU is an East German film about a Holocaust survivor & Nazi officer, shot amidst the rubble of WWII Germany. Not great, but worth your time. TTU is a bit soapy but pretty good. SFFH was awful, IMO.
