The outrage at the Last Jedi (my favorite Star Wars movie for the record) was largely people seeking validation for their opinions, and wanting objective evidence that they weren’t wrong and the film was asking hard questions of Star Wars the way other films hadn’t in a while.

To me, the constant standard bans are showing something:
Standard is too large and releasing every set through standard is causing strain on Play Design to balancing the format.
If it was five standard sets then two draftable sets that don't go into standard like Commander Legends...
