Urawa Red Diamonds sacked coach Naoki Kusunose.

Last Sunday in quarter-final match, Urawa were eliminated from AFC Champions League by Wuhan Jiangda
(0-0 a.e.t, pso. 5-6).

Urawa dominated throughout the game (24-2 in shots) but were unable to put the ball in their rivals' net.

The Japan Football Association has launched a crowdfunding campaign for its underage women's teams, with an initial target of ¥5 million.

Funds will be used to give U-16, U-17 and U-19 women's teams more training camps and friendlies.
