JCS came out with their first update an hour after the launch, sort of longer than usual, saying was 1 missile but still without IDing it and keeping the label "unidentified ballistic missile." May point to something novel or requiring deeper analysis, like involving HGV or MIRV.

JCS now says one SRBM flew 700km from Taegwan, Japan says "over" 450km. Taegwan to Busan port where the US aircraft carrier docked this week is ~665km. But still possible ROK distance is wrong and NK set the test up as a demo/protest with a distance suggestive of a capability to strike the carrier.

we should not be letting any company get away with blaming AI for their failures. I'm not even sure how we got to this point. people are like "it's just a tool" okay so is a forklift and we still hold somebody responsible when it goes wrong and hurts someone. this is YOUR AI!

Insurance companies make their profits by creating barriers to care. The more barriers there are, the more money they make. It’s a business run on the bureaucratic nightmare of administrative labor that keeps people from accessing healthcare.
Insurance companies aren’t just players in the fight with doctors over money; they’re also the referees.

They produce their own guidelines on when to pay claims. If a doctor appeals a denial, insurers make all the initial decisions.
