Victim-survivor mothers are often told to 'get over' the abuse post-separation, 'move on', and 'be nice' when, in fact, the perpetrator is still actively abusing them and their children.

There shouldn't be presumption of contact for domestic abusers. The rights of people that can physically, financially and mentally abuse those who are meant to be closest to them should never trump the rights of innocent children who need stability

Coercive Control has been a crime for a decade, so very late for this. With @jessphillipsmp.bsky.social in govt I know we will see lots of welcome change. Information sharing good step, but training in CC for police, social services & judiciary desperately needed
