Seems a good time for a Diverse Bsky Guide. This includes accessibility tips, feeds to help LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, neurodiverse & disabled people connect, & diverse writer chats & book feeds.

It also introduces BlackSky, NorthSky, Turtle.sky & EuroSky and account migration options as federation gears up

Did I just watch smartphone propaganda on this #TukTik sponsored #AbbottElementary episode? It was such an odd episode (and the first to not make me laugh out loud).

I’m very worried about these data centers. My power bill has jumped to over $300/month ON BUDGET BILLING for 1,100 sq ft. That’s ridiculous. Did we save the Mahomet aquifer for this?? @govpritzker.illinois.gov

More than two years after the U.S. Supreme Court rolled back wetlands protections, Illinois has yet to act—even though most of the state’s wetlands remain vulnerable.

We need @govpritzker.illinois.gov to lead on wetlands—which are vital for clean water and flood protection.

When writing alt text for an image of text, it's not enough to just write "screen shot of text from article." Sighted users get to know what is in that screen shot, so why don't blind users deserve the same? The alt text should include all the actual text in the image.

@govpritzker.illinois.gov @duckworth.senate.gov @durbin.senate.gov what is being done to protect Chicago from ICE? Why do I see video of IL State Police harming Illinoisans while aiding ICE? This looks antithetical to J.B.’s call for protest.

Why did @govpritzker.illinois.gov send out Illinois police to limit protests at Broadview? Why is a progressive governor shielding illegal ICE activity from peaceful protesters? Why are our state tax dollars devoted to Trump’s agenda?
