(Provided) A devastating fire at the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta has left the nonprofit scrambling to supply needy families with furnishings and household goods. A June 18 electrical fire destroyed the 15,000 square foot warehouse on Murphy Avenue in Southwest Atlanta and its contents, including a large donation of beds and dressers from the University of Georgia, meant for families in metro Atlanta.

“There is nothing in the Center’s statute that would prevent a new administration from replacing board members; however, this would be the first time such action has been taken.”
