I played the first 3 on Game Boy, because omg portable Final Fantasy, but I could never beat them as a kid. Even as an adult I haven’t beaten Legends 2 or 3 because I keep getting stuck one way or another and quit. .-. And yet I keep trying.

SaGa in particular keeps coming back to me, because the mechanics are so weird but they're so interesting when you know they made such design choices to mimic D&D as close as possible with limited tech.
