If I could pick two people today from my skyline to have dinner with it would be the guy who reports on Jeopardy! players shaking hands and the moot who tracks how bad people are at guessing the value of a boat showcase on the Price is Right.

Me, getting dropped off at 30th Street Station Amtrak last week instead of PHL airport.
The children, they yearn for the trains.

26,000 tons?
Capricorn: Prepare for a busy, productive day (you’ll be forced into harvesting ore).

This post about trains posted while riding a train.

This update from a colleague departing PHL this morning has me happy this conference was close enough I could take a train.

"TSA line had to be a mile long at 3:45am this morning. I got through it in 45 minutes. TSA agents were working hard this morning."

Got a piece of apple pie to go from the hotel restaurant, intending to eat it for breakfast, but they brought it out warm and with a side of ice cream. Ok, ice cream and half the pie.

I'm moderating a panel next week and the conference organizer asked me to add an "I am speaking" thing to my LinkedIn. Virginia folks will know why I can't bring myself to do it. Aside from neglecting that platform in general.

Did not expect to need a knife for dessert....

This was a fire drill I did not need this morning.
in case you missed it, they accidentally turned off the nation’s health care for a second there
UPDATE: Hours after saying they were pausing all payments, Medicare says they’re NOT pausing all payments.

The family business sponsored a youth baseball team and he paid extra to the screen printing shop in town for his team's shirts to be a different color. Easier to spot the Coach/team if you forgot the field assignment. And he brought Dilly Bars for the last game.
What’s ONE green flag about your father?

Success! Next time I will make the icing thicker, and maybe chill the loaf before drizzling in hopes of more of it staying on the loaf.

I bought a pint of blueberries on impulse the other day and haven't been eating them. Which calls for a baking project.

Jury summons with less than 2 weeks' notice. Is that typical?

Good morning to all, and especially the gal with light sabre-wielding raccoon tattoo on the blue line.

Beautiful day for a lunch walk and early voting.

I can't recommend this play enough if you're in the Boston area. One more showtime tomorrow at the Greater Boston Stage Company in Stoneham. Part of the co-world premier of "Featherbaby".

I hope the folks who service my car on Wednesday like gingersnaps. I'm stressbaking and it's my go-to recipe when I have an odd number of eggs.

What's the meaning of the bundt-bunt sequence in my follows?

The handful of people swarming for the moment the conference breakfast opens are my people. I'm not so sure about the apple butter on this sausage-egg-cheddar sammich.

A picture from my morning walk with easter eggs for friends who enjoy baking, hydroelectric power, and/or postal real estate.

Frosted brownies with a frozen gel pack required additional screening but cleared TSA with me.
I run the family March Madness MBB pool and the prize is a pan of secret- (but not "special") recipe brownies. The winner lives in the metro where I travel tomorrow for work so today is baking day! 👩🏼‍🍳

Inova primary care appears to be denying requests for a prescription due to no CDC recc at this time. :/
A little more on this.

In some states requiring COVID vaccine prescriptions, there are CVS MinuteClinics that offer a workaround: AZ, DC, FL, GA, NC, VA

Unfortunately CV does not have MinuteClinics in LA, ME, OR, UT, or WV
For people in a state that is asking for a prescription, try a CVS MinuteClinic.

Some MinuteClinic’s are getting around restrictions by having nurses on site who will give you a prescription during a visit. They ask to confirm if you are high risk but don’t ask for proof.
