What’s the highlight of Brandon Ingram’s season so far?

“Darko coming into the locker room yelling. That’s not just one day, it’s everyday.”

“For me, that’s the best part about being here, our coach is present every single day.”

Depth by necessity, defensive impressions, Scottie Barnes in an optimized off-ball role, Immanuel Quickley & Gradey Dick coming back stronger, Jamal Shead emerging as a leader, & me still being bullish on Ochai Agbaji.

I just watched Masai Ujiri’s video tribute to Toronto for the second time.

It is heartfelt, classy and inspirational. It is everything that Rogers isn’t.

It reaffirms my belief Ujiri outgrew the new Raptor’s ownership.

Goodbye to Masai Ujiri as president of the Raptors. The dreams stayed big: it was the owners who got small. www.thestar.com/sports/rapto...
Bruce Arthur: Everything Masai Ujiri did — his dreams and his success with the Raptors — was big. Maybe too big for the team’s owner
MLSE CEO Keith Pelley said the decision to replace Ujiri was his, without explaining why. We can put the pieces together.

The Raptors had the 5th best record in the NBA since 2014. According to Pelley, the roster and front office are “stable”.

Masai Ujiri’s firing had little to do with basketball. Ujiri is a good man, a role model and a global citizen. His accomplishments and legacy were too much for Rogers.

Fast take from Keith Pelley newser on Masai:
Change long coming but no one will say precisely why (see Rogers vs. Ujiri plus $$); they'll have a new prez but no reason what the new guy/gal has that the old one didn't.

Faster take:

104 of the Raptors' 118 points tonight were scored by undrafted players.

That's the most points undrafted players have accounted for in a game since at least 1951.
