Happy 1st day of advent. I’m going to imagine it’s a calendar so let’s open the door to… My miniature embroidery of A Steadfast Tin Soldier, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale. 😊🪡🌿🌺📚🧚‍♂️ *stitched in March 2018. #stitchedart #thesewingsongbird

I’ve woken up in a “let’s drag all the billionaires out into the street, have them publicly beheaded & disperse their funds to the needy” kinda mood. 😤🤨

Morning. ☕️👋💖

ICYMI: The gov & Coalition are on the cusp of passing legislation that will give the major parties 10s of millions of dollars more in funding - from the taxpayer.
Annabel Crabb nails it: “We’re asking the public, in a cost of living crisis, to fund a narrowing of their choices.”

Communications Minister @MRowlandMP says that Youtube and Whatsapp are excluded from this legislation.

However that is not written anywhere in the bill and Section 63CA (i, ii, iii, iv) state otherwise. Under the definition provided and without the explicit exclusion they are included in the ban.

It costs half a million dollars a year to keep a child in prison.

94% of them will go back to prison before they turn 18

Divert that to prevention & let’s see what happens. You would only need a 6% success rate and $500k per child per year to achieve it.
