It’s still -6c, but at least my solar PV have charged the batteries a bit today! I’ve got them stored in an old fridge to keep them warmer in these frigid temps. And my bus actually turned up so I’m on my way home 🏠

Regret not driving to work today. Just missed my connecting bus and the next one didn’t show up… standing around in -7c is not fun. Nearly got frostbite sending an email to the bus company!

Hooray! It’s only taken 6 days but finally I know where my Android phone is! My sis called it today & someone answered this time. I can go collect it tomorrow. The Q is, why didn’t they call me from the lock-screen pop up that I requested? F-knows but rn don’t care, v relieved 🥲

I seem to be determined to tempt fate for the cats to destroy my AirPods 🙈 Found them this morning under a cushion on the sofa. 1st time they’d fallen out of the case in dining room and were lying on the rug! AppleCare will soon be activated 😬

I didn’t ask my employers for a payrise last year, so I have this year. Apparently asking for 1€/hr (in line with the Mindestlohn raise) more isn’t really acceptable bc it’s above the rate of inflation(!). 1 has accepted it but only from feb, the other want me to wait until July 🙄 😑 I need a new job

One of my employers, who is really lovely, has died whilst on holiday (fell over apparently). He was so kind and generous to me and I’d hoped he would be okay for another couple of years after heart/lung problems last year. Feeling the sads for him rn 😥

I just can’t with this man anymore. He’s demonstrated daily in the last two weeks, more and more reasons why he needs removing asap. They’re not just a danger to their own citizens, but rapidly to the rest of the world.

Having my outdated fusebox replaced today. A day with no electric means no heating either. Got up and made a pot of tea and put it in the thermos flask. Thank goodness for modern inventions 😅

Merry Xmas everyone! Took a 11km walk in Sankt Peter-Ording (mostly along the beach) def too nice a day to stay in the house. Hope you’re all having a good one!
