Good morning, Friends ~ Happy Caturday to those who observe it, and a reminder that Fluffy Jellybeans need love, too. 🥰

Good morning, Friends! After last February's storms and flooding, not only did we get a rainbow in the afternoon, this was our sunset. (No filter.) The world turned just this rosy.

I hope today finds you feeling 'in the pink.'🌷🌸🪷

A year ago today the city, the creek, the street, and the apartment all flooded (photo: creek adjacent to watery roadway - car driving through floodwaters).

And then, after the waters had receded, came the rainbow.

I will never not love this. 🥰

Thought I had (haiku!) while driving to work and spying gorgeous white egrets hunting in freshly flooded fields:

How do egrets know
that after heavy rainfalls
green-fields fill with frogs?

Flowers I can never remember the name of. In the 60s, my Mom perfected the craft of making flowers out of wood fibre, and her creations were so real that visitors would bend over to sniff them. Her version of this particular flowering bush is one I've never forgotten.

I'm looking forward to getting out for a morning walk and seeing how many new daffodil blooms are brightening the neighborhood. Their beauty is so fleeting - I want to revel in every single one before their flowering season has passed.

Good morning, Friends.

I'm just horsing around right now, enjoying some favorite February photos. We still miss these clompy-footed Clydesdales that were sent off to live in Missouri. Or Kentucky. I don't recall exactly, and they didn't leave a forwarding address.

I just called my heart doctor to report that, for the first time since way before my October 27th heart surgery, I was able to walk up all three steep hills on our walk today without having to stop to catch my breath! ❤️

Good morning, American beauties. (And all other beauties worldwide.)

May your day be spent in such a way that when you go to bed tonight, you smile to think of the memories made and/or tasks completed. 😊🧡

"Shattered Banana" is...

a) A punk rock band
b) A 1960s Greenwich Village poem
c) What happens when you drop your freezer composting on the kitchen floor

Reviewer Nick Hilton on "Melania" - She came off in the film as “a preening, scowling void of pure nothingness” who leads a “vulgar, gilded lifestyle" ... “a striking artifact... of a time when Americans willingly subordinated themselves to a political and economic oligopoly.”

Your therapist's thought for the day:

You can't heal in the same (or any similar) environment that made you sick. You have to feel safe to get well.

May 21st is the last time we'll see Stephen Colbert on The Late Show. (National Day of Mourning, anyone?) The question I have is: will he tell us what number he's thinking of? (And, in every Questionert, has he been thinking of the exact same number?) Please tell us!

That time when Mother Nature couldn't decide: Shall I make the sky black and ominous, threatening rain and possibly hail, or shall I make the sky blue with a layer of fluffy, white, cheerful clouds? 😊

Good morning, Friends ~ There's a lot going on. A lot to worry about. Much to keep us awake at night.

And also, the daffodils will arrive soon. I have to think about those things as well. Fresh spring grasses, baby animals, wildflowers ... and daffodils. 💛🫶💛
