Good morning, Friends ~ 41 days until Spring.

The snow will melt, the freezing cold will let up, the landscape will soften, and wildflowers will bloom in a frenzy of color.

As the cat poster used to advise: hang in there. 🌺🌼

Caturday fun.

Hi PeterR! 🐈

Oh man. Some people have all the luck. The only thing I ever got locked into was a CD with a crappy interest rate. 😄

Good morning, Friends ~ Happy Caturday to those who observe it, and a reminder that Fluffy Jellybeans need love, too. 🥰

Good morning, Friends! After last February's storms and flooding, not only did we get a rainbow in the afternoon, this was our sunset. (No filter.) The world turned just this rosy.

I hope today finds you feeling 'in the pink.'🌷🌸🪷

It's Mike Ryan O'clock! Must-hear Thursday starts now. Thanks for kicking it off with some 90s deliciousness. 🥰

A year ago today the city, the creek, the street, and the apartment all flooded (photo: creek adjacent to watery roadway - car driving through floodwaters).

And then, after the waters had receded, came the rainbow.

You got me curious! And "Quince fruit itself is not poisonous and is safe to eat when cooked, though it is usually too hard and bitter to eat raw. However, quince seeds and leaves are poisonous because they contain compounds (amygdalin) that release cyanide when consumed."

Hey there, PeterR! Another beautiful day in paradise here. ❤️

I will never not love this. 🥰

Thought I had (haiku!) while driving to work and spying gorgeous white egrets hunting in freshly flooded fields:

How do egrets know
that after heavy rainfalls
green-fields fill with frogs?

Hi PeterR! Yes, I really love these blossoms. Someone told me they're Flowering Quince.

Flowers I can never remember the name of. In the 60s, my Mom perfected the craft of making flowers out of wood fibre, and her creations were so real that visitors would bend over to sniff them. Her version of this particular flowering bush is one I've never forgotten.

I'm looking forward to getting out for a morning walk and seeing how many new daffodil blooms are brightening the neighborhood. Their beauty is so fleeting - I want to revel in every single one before their flowering season has passed.

Good morning, Friends.

I'm just horsing around right now, enjoying some favorite February photos. We still miss these clompy-footed Clydesdales that were sent off to live in Missouri. Or Kentucky. I don't recall exactly, and they didn't leave a forwarding address.
