Thank you, Sen. Van Hollen, for standing up not just for Kilmar Abrego Garcia and his family but for every American who believes in due process.

We can't stop speaking out until he is home and this administration is forced to stop its horrific practice of kidnapping people without charge or trial.
I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

Judge Wilkinson's opinion for a 3-0 panel in the Abrego Garcia case is written for the parties, but also for the public & perhaps a nod at SCOTUS. I go through it in this piece, which I think provides a much-needed boost for all of us. joycevance.substack.com/p/a-fourth-c...

Head Start, an early childhood education program for low income families, is on the chopping block. Growing up, my own mom was an aide with the program; it’s helped countless young mothers, including the one who tells her story here.

Adolf Hitler's “Mein Kampf” is still on U.S. Naval Academy shelves. “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and “Memorializing the Holocaust” are not.

An order by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s office led to a purge of books that are critical of racism — but preserved volumes defending white power.

Thanks for sharing your story, Rebecca. Protecting folks with pre-existing conditions – like your son – was important to us. And it’s why we have to continue working hard to protect and build on the foundation of the ACA, too.
Before ACA my son was denied coverage because of “preexisting conditions”. When ACA was established his medical conditions were all covered. I’m thankful every day insurance companies are no longer allowed to deny coverage. Thank you President Obama. (He was a baby when this all happened)

Donald Trump targeted AP and legacy media did nothing.

Donald Trump has now targeted two large law firms and Big Law is silent.

You all read Martin Niemöller's poem “First They Came.”

So, I ask you -- What are you doing?

Stream it on every single platform. Every single day. For as long at it takes.

What are the limits to Trump's "official act immunity?"

Unilaterally dismantling a treaty the Senate ratified?

Ignoring congressional spending directives?

Destroying an agency created by an act of Congress?

Ignoring federal court orders?

Did Roberts think this through at all last year?

It was Republican Congressman Dan Newhouse who introduced the censure resolution of @algreen.house.gov today.

Funny how Newhouse didn't have any of that energy for the repeated outbursts, interruptions, and "incivility" of Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
