Bad Bunny is not my kind of music at all but knowing this performance would be pissing off Trump makes it enjoyable.

What this young man did was nothing short of herculean. For all intents and purposes this should have been a tragic story of a family of 4 dying at sea. It is a good news story instead because of his efforts. With everything else going on what a welcome change.
Mother says sending son to swim 4km for help 'one of the hardest decisions'
A WA mother says asking her teenage son to swim four kilometres through rough seas to get help after their family was swept out to sea, was "one of the hardest decisions" she has ever made.

A nice sunny day in Orange Grove. Currently 41.9 on it's way to a maximum of 39.

Well a night of extreme winds has gone a long way to completely destroying our setup here. With no funds and no insurance (they won't insure us anyway) we have been rendered practically homeless. And the wind is still howling away. 🙁

A bit of a backward step but I am happy with it.

I note with disgust that the muck-raking piece of shit known as Sharri Markson is doing a special for Sky News about the Bondi tragedy. I just bet it will be very balanced with no Albo bashing going on. For a news service full of racist scum she is right up there with the worst of them. #auspol

We need a strong opposition to keep the government in check. That is why it was disappointing to me to see Darren Chester say he won't stand for leadership of the Nationals. He is one of the few sane members on that side of Parliament and, to me at least, will provide more stability. #auspol

Is it just me or is Barron Trump looking more and more like a serial killing psychopath the older he gets? #USPolitics #Trump #BarronTrump

How is he this stupid?

Trump standing up in German-speaking Switzerland* telling the Swiss that if it wasn't for the Americans, they'd be "speaking German by now".

(*yes the Swiss speak Swiss-German, but standard German is their national language. In fact most Swiss speak at least 3 languages)

So the world's biggest mass murderer has agreed to join Trump's Board of Peace. I guess any credibility the board may have had is now completely gone. #Trump #warcriminal

Hi Robyn and Byron. How soon you all forget. Yes I did coin the term FYC'd as I am a huge fan of the group and that song.

I'm still reasonably active on Bluesky but mostly political posts. I only do Squareword now and as such don't usually post my results.

I am all for removing this guys name from awards etc but is removing his books from schools overkill? I agree we don't want him to profit from them any more but the books should be separated from the author. They are award-winning books after all. #CraigSilvey

The decision on Turner's (non) catch is absolutely ridiculous. If he wasn't tumbling over and held it and immediately threw it in the air it would have been allowed. Just because it touched the ground in the tumble shouldn't matter as he never let it go at any stage. #BBL #ScorchersRenegades.

I fail to see the logic of Smith sending in Neser as a night watchman. Australia have batters down to 8 in the order. Does he think his wicket it too valuable to come out and face a handful of deliveries on a flat deck? #ashes

This is why I don't like fireworks. It is incredibly dry here with hot weather and gusty winds. I accept the young man in question didn't intend to start a fire but regardless of intent he did and it has been risking life and property since 12.30am.
