This is extremely bad news. Combined with other HHS cuts and the ridiculous appointment of Bobbie Jr, a lot of data and information is going to be lost.
In a reckless move that could put countless Americans at risk, CDC cuts are expected to devastate the Epidemic Intelligence Service, a ‘crown jewel’ of public health EIS officers tasked with investigating disease outbreaks and health threats in the U.S. and abroad.

@maddow.msnbc.com Rachel Maddow’s coverage of the irony of the cost of eggs and bird flu is great. The only thing that needs to be added is that it is a pandemic - it has been circling the globe for many months now. Eggs are difficult to get everywhere. 🥚🐣🐓😵

Don’t be fooled by the phrase“they can’t do that”. I have lived through this. They can do whatever they want. Temporary pauses, acting positions, freezing funds are just some examples of the ways they do it.
With optional voting and gerrymandering, it will take a generation to get rid of them.

This is one of things that has been doing my head in since the election campaign. Even back then the price of eggs was high in all countries because of the bird flu pandemic. Why didn’t journalist or Democratic politicians point this out ever time someone whinged about the price of eggs?
@chrislhayes.bsky.social: It's a particularly ironic twist that one of the main consequences of this ongoing bird flu outbreak so far has been massive egg shortages and skyrocketing egg prices.

It's 900 pages of poorly written, inconsistent, idiotic, rambling; but it seems to be going into effect right now, so it's worth reading.

The nest logical step is to standdown anyone who was hired as part of a DEI program - which would mean everyone who isn't a white dude.
