I like how realistic the advice is. As a college student, completely changing your diet isn’t always doable, so adding veggies to meals you already eat feels simple and manageable. Small changes like this can still make a big nutritional difference. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

I ate scrambled eggs with butter and toast, matcha latte, chicken sandwich with fries and ketchup, a granola bar, and pasta with marinara and parmesan. It was mostly accurate, but condiments and portions were easy to forget. I was surprised by how much I snacked and drank @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I chose to repost it because it reminds me that food isn’t just about calories or exercise, it’s also about joy, culture, and connection. It’s refreshing to see someone normalize enjoying food without guilt and emphasize that nourishment can be both physical and emotional.@beh353.bsky.social #beh353
This is a great reminder because I know that so many people tend to skip meals, or they feel guilty for fueling their body with food. The thing is, our bodies need food to function! Skipping meals is not for sustainable for losing weight. Treat yourself, and stay healthy! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
Food = fuel AND joy (+ culture, experience, love, etc.). You’re allowed to eat without guilt. No burpees required.

Fun fact: Protein is also essential for making enzymes and hormones that control thousands of chemical reactions in your body. Without enough protein, your body can’t efficiently repair tissues or even carry out basic processes like digestion and immune defense. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I repost this bc it reminds me that food isn’t just about calories or performance, it’s about experiences and relationships. Sometimes I get caught up in “good” vs. “bad” foods, but this perspective makes me appreciate meals as moments to enjoy and share, not something to stress over. #beh353
“food is just fuel” is a popular saying in the fitness world. and sure, food can be fuel, but it can also be so much more.

food can be a way to connect with other people, cultures, and our memories.

you don’t have to moralize foods or punish yourself for enjoying them.

I plan to focus on when reading nutrition resources is how current and up-to-date the information is. I’ll look for sources that reference recent studies or updated guidelines so I can be confident the advice reflects the latest research rather than outdated ideas. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
