The GOP passed a budget that will eviscerate health care in rural areas. They delayed much of the impact for after the midterms, hoping the public will think any discussion of the impending collapse is hyperbolic.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

As our Lyft driver took us on whatever highway that is (sorry I'll admit here for the first & last time I'm from LI) past Newark Broad about 10 mins past midnight, you could see a train stopped in the station, all dark, and about a dozen people standing on the tracks not realizing what was going on

Last year a pair of mourning doves took over one of the hanging baskets I had at my front door, and they had two chicks. About a month later they came back again, laid another two eggs but only one hatched.
