Mount Baker, aka Koma Kulshan, is a nearby active volcano. Baker has the second-most thermally active crater in the Cascade Range (after Mount St. Helens). It has the heaviest glacier cover of the Cascade volcanoes, and is one of the snowiest places in the world. Image taken two days ago.

Twin Sisters Range, as seen from Semiahmoo Spit, Washington State (about a mile and a half from the Canadian border). Image taken 12/20/2017. The west ridge of North Twin Sister (left most peak) is a wonderful rock climb/scramble, which I did many years ago with the Seattle Mountaineers.
