Mount Baker, aka Koma Kulshan, is a nearby active volcano. Baker has the second-most thermally active crater in the Cascade Range (after Mount St. Helens). It has the heaviest glacier cover of the Cascade volcanoes, and is one of the snowiest places in the world. Image taken two days ago.

Super moon, rising behind Mount Baker, as seen from Cap Sante, Anacortes, Washington. Image taken 12/31/2017. I had waited years to get these images (waiting for a rising super moon in the right position, along with good snow cover and clear skies (that last part being the hardest part)).
